MM3 TUNER: How to get the Stock File

NOTICE: These articles are provided for 5-9diesel.com customers but are available to the public as a courtesy. 5-9 Diesel LLC is an authorized seller of the MM3 Tuning Platform and is a separate company from MM3 Power. The steps below will show you how to get the Stock File for your MM3 Tuner, Smarty Touch or RaceMe Ultra Tuner. This allows your custom tuner to write tunes that can be flashed to your truck.

This process WILL NOT alter your truck in any way, it will operate normally afterward.

Text instructions:

With Key on/Engine Off: From any gauge screen, tap anywhere on the screen…

Press “Main Menu”…

Then press the “ECM” button…

Press the next “ECM” button…

Press “Get Stock File For Truck”…

Now Place the SD card in your computer using the included Micro-SD to USB adapter and open your email application (gmail, yahoo mail etc.) Using the “attach” button in your email (typically a paperclip icon):

Note: the files mm3.mmu and mm3.sgn (for MM3 customers) OR smarty2g.iap and smarty2g.sgn (smarty touch customers) are not the stock files! Sending anything other than “stock.mm3” or “UDCStock.s2g” will DELAY delivery of your tunes.

Navigate to the SD card
Open the custom folder
Open the stock folder

Now you will see the following file:

For an MM3 Tuner will be called “STOCK.MM3”
For a Smarty Touch tuner it will be called “UDCStock.s2g”.
(You will notice an incorrect date associated with the file; this is normal.)
