Early Spray Pattern (143 Deg: 03-04 year) Injectors in Late 5.9 (04.5-07) Engine:
We have specialized tuning just for this modification. All you need to do is specify this in the Notes section of your tuning package.
10 Bar Map Sensor Custom Tuning (Select on checkout)
If you have pushed beyond what the stock 5.9 Cummins MAP Sensor can read (about 35PSI), then you are in the right place. These sensors require custom tuning for your ECM to utilize the data they provide correctly.
10 Bar Map Sensors can be purchased from the following vendors:
-Garofalo (Recommended Sensor*)
*I have tuning support for both brands, but the Garofalo Sensor has proven to be the most reliable and least troublesome 10 bar sensor for 3rd Gen 5.9 Cummins Trucks.
5-9 Diesel can provide custom tunes based on your 100 or 150 PSI 10 Bar Map sensor for your 2003, 2004, 2004.5, 2005, 2005.5, 2006, or 2007 5.9 Cummins Truck or Swap Project.
Dual CP3 Fuel Pump Tuning
If you are running dual CP3 pumps and don’t want the clutter or cost of an aftermarket control box, 5-9 Diesel can provide custom tunes that will allow your existing ECM to control both pumps directly. You will only need a CP3 harness splitter (Such as a Fleece CP3X2) to make this work.
Oversize Injector Tuning (Select on Checkout)
This is one of the most common additions to 5.9 Cummins trucks. Have a set of larger than stock injectors? 5-9 Diesel has you covered!
Note: Earlier versions of large injector tuning had been reported to cause rattle for some customers. This issue has been resolved in current tuning versions.
Larger Turbo/Compound Tuning
Available as a standard option on most tuning packages. Weather your turbo uses a mechanical waste gate or none at all, 5-9 Diesel tuning accounts for this and it should not cause an issue due to the missing electronic waste gate for 04.5-07 year trucks.
5.9 Cummins Swaps (Select on checkout)
Swapping a 1998.5-2007 5.9 Cummins engine into your project? 5-9 Diesel is here for you to help with custom tunes and DTC issues.
6.7 Cummins Swap into 5.9 Trucks
We can set you up to use your existing ECM to run a 6.7 Cummins in your 5.9 truck: this swap requires specific custom tuning in most cases to correct for different tuning parameters used between 6.7 engines and early/late model 5.9 Cummins Engines. 5-9 Diesel has your 6.7 swap covered.
Low Stall Torque Converters
Low stall torque converters can sometimes throw a P1740 code and Check Engine Light. This is because the rpm difference the ECM expects to see between the engine and transmission components is much less due to the tighter converter not allowing as much slip. 5-9 Diesel Tuning is adjusted to account for this issue and the P1740 code will not be an issue for you.
Auto to Manual Swaps (Select on checkout)
No problem! 5-9 Diesel can get your ECM programmed PROPERLY as if the truck came from the factory as a Manual. This is a key part of your swap and will eliminate several codes and limiters associated with the automatic transmission that is no longer present.
