Thanks for your order. To get your Vin license I need you to follow the directions below and email me the file:
- With the key on and engine off, tap any gauge. Go to main menu, Settings, Scroll down to unlock codes, request unlock codes, select number of licenses you want (+1 LIC) then select order now. This will create a file on the root of the SD card named “UCR.MM3”. This is the request file. Now exit out of all selections until you get back to main menu.
- Power down the tuner by turning off the key or unplugging it from the truck’s diagnostic port.
- Remove the SD card from the top left corner of the monitor by lightly pushing down on it.
- Insert micro SD card into SD card adapter that came in the box, or any other card adapter you may have, and connect it to your windows-based computer via USB port.
- Email the UCR.MM3 file to robd@5-9diesel.com (Open your email program, click “compose” or “new message” or whatever button you use to create a new email. Enter my email address in the “to” field, then use the “attach” or paperclip button to add the file. You will have to navigate to the SD card to select the UCR.MM3 file.)
DO NOT update your MM3 firmware until your VIN License is returned to you.
****Please note that tunes written for other Vin Numbers will not work on your truck! If someone sold you an MM3 and told you something along the lines of “the tunes are already on the mm3, you just need a VIN license” they are wrong, you will need to purchase tuning specific to your trucks VIN. VIN Licenses are NOT REFUNDABLE once they have been sent. If you don’t agree with this please respond to this email immediately.
