History:
These trucks were 07.5 and 08 model year trucks sold outside of the United States. Dodge still had an inventory of the 5.9 Cummins after they had to switch to the 6.7 Engine in US Production and was able to use this inventory by selling post 07 model trucks with the 5.9 Cummins in countries outside of the United States which did not have the same emissions requirements.
Tuning:
These trucks can be tuned using EFI Live but not the MM3. If you have one of these trucks: I have tuning for you!
The tuning has the same benefits as described HERE but there is one limitation on these trucks: There is no CSP5 (5 position rotary switch to change tunes on the fly) available for these trucks. The tunes would be delivered as single tunes that will be listed in a menu on your autocal/flashscan and you need to shut the truck down to change to a different tune.
Do I have a 2007.5 Mexico 5.9 Cummins?
If the reference number on the long white valve cover sticker reads 68026124AA or 68029123AA, then yes you have a late build 5.9 Cummins Mexico Truck, or a “5.9 Cummins Unicorn” truck as I call them.
What do I need for tuning one of these trucks:
- You need to purchase a tuning package which can be done here: (Disregard that it is not listed for EFILive, place an order for one of those packages and list in the truck mods that this is for a 5.9 Mexico Truck
- You also need an autocal if you don’t have one. You can get that HERE
- You will need to send me a screenshot from your autocal once it arrives showing:
-Hookup your Autocal/Flashscan V3 to your truck and navigate to: Diagnostics -> F1: Display Info -> F1: Display VIN/Info and forward the VIN and SN numbers listed (a picture is fine also)
–Autocal Serial number printed on the back of your Autocal
After I receive this info, I will email your tunes with further instructions👍
